IOWA CITY, Iowa — Same-sex couples seeking marriage have found a home in Iowa City to tie the knot. Friday afternoon 10 couples from Missouri took a six hour ride on the “Love Bus” to get married in Iowa City.

“I’m really excited to see people are coming up here,” said the Reverend Steven Protzman of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Iowa City. “We’re really proud of this.”

Since same-sex marriage was made legal in 2009 hundreds of same-sex couples have been married at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Iowa City.
